Department
of First Year Engineering (FE) provides strong foundation to the students
pursuing Engineering course. In First Year Engineering, students get acquainted
with wide range of subjects and get hands-on experience on various practical
aspects. This inculcates confidence and makes them ready for the task ahead.
First year engineering will help the students in inculcating fundamentals
strong and to develop their logical and analytical skills, which will help them

Significance of Department of Computer Engineering
It is
a synergistic product of many proactive minds. A team of 46 Teaching and 15
Technical Staff members under the leadership of Mukta Sunil Takalikar unanimously
harnesses its potential in all aspects to take the department to greater
heights. The Bachelor of Engineering Program in Computer Engineering commenced
from the academic year 1983-84. The current student intake capacity is 240. It
has always been among the top performers in the region. The Department is known
for its excellent results and student placements. There are 15 well-equipped

The
Department has been pioneered as the first Post Graduate Department in Computer
Engineering in the unaided Engineering Colleges in University of Pune. There
was no facility for post-graduation existed for Computer Engineering graduates
in the non-aided sector till 2000. This void was filled by our M.E course after
persistent efforts in that direction by our Computer Engineering Department.
The
Faculty consists of Head of the Department, Senior Professors and visiting
Faculty. Visiting Faculty consists of experienced and qualified persons. The
first batch of M.E. was inducted in August 2000 with an intake capacity of 25
and in addition second shift PG program with an intake of 24 was sanctioned in
the year 2013. The SPPU approved research center(Ph.D) is started in 2014.
Features of Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering
It is
a coactive product with a mission of developing graduates capable of
contributing to the advancement of electronics and telecommunication
engineering. A team of 55 Teaching and 15 Technical Staff members under the
leadership of Dr. S. V. Gaikwad
unanimously harnesses its potential in all aspects to take the department to

The
Bachelor of Engineering Program in E & TC commenced from the academic
year 1995-1996. The current student intake capacity is 240. There are 16 well
equipped laboratories in the department. The Faculty consists of Head of the
Department, Senior Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors and
Visiting Faculty. The first batch of M.E. was inducted in 2006 with an intake
capacity of 18.
About Department of Information Technology
Department
of Information Technology imparts students the knowledge to understand and
engage with the technological society in which they live and the skills that
will lead to successful careers. A team of 24 Teaching and 12 Technical Staff
members under the leadership of Dr. Bagade A. M. unanimously harnesses its
potential in all aspects to take the department to greater heights.
The
Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) Programme in Information Technology commenced
from the academic year 2001-2002 with an intake capacity of 60 students. The
current intake capacity is 180. The first batch of M.E. was inducted in
